Situation
Precision assembly required precise optical alignment while applying pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), UV cure adhesive, and thermal adhesive. Pre and post alignment inspections required.
Problem
Alignment tolerances less than 0.001”; PSA applied while preventing air gaps; adhesive dispense controlled to milligrams.

Developed modular assembly line incorporating innovative mechanisms to apply PSA, calibrate adhesive dispense, perform pre and post vision inspections, and precisely align multiple optical components.
